Course Description

Interpersonal relations and workplace skills are critical to success for digital communications specialists. The concepts, skills, and knowledge gained in this course are integrated and applied throughout other courses and the work experience in the program. Course content includes active listening techniques, barriers/issues in interpersonal communications (cross-cultural, gender, age, emotional issues), customer service, problem identification and problem solving, conflict management and negotiation skills. Interviewing and presentation skills are also covered. A final skills assessment, identifying interpersonal skills developed and those needing improvement, is included.
