Course Code

ATMN 250

Academic Year

2016-2017

This course is a continuation of Mechatronics 1 and 2. This course advances students to a new level of automation control topics based on an understanding of electronic components, sensors, discrete control, single-phase AC principles and DC principles. This course will introduce three-phase concepts, three-phase transformers, three-phase and single-phase motor function and characteristics, control of motors and drive systems, panel wiring and troubleshooting. The course provides hands-on laboratory experience to re-enforce theory studied in lecture class.
