Course Code

AFTV 251

Academic Year

2016-2017

The goal of this course is to ensure that students understand the complex technical demands of a constantly changing film industry. Technologies such as Green Screen Performance, Motion Capture (MOCAP) and Audio Dialogue Replacement (ADR) are introduced and, when possible, studio simulations and hands-on experience is arranged with industry media studios. Students are also instructed on how to self-tape and edit their auditions using consumer-grade technology. The goal of the course is not to create film technicians but to educate actors to enable them to shape their performance on film and video. The content of this course is likely to develop and change significantly over time.
