This course acquaints students with the operation of a radio newsroom along with the basic elements of newsgathering for a radio audience. This course also acquaints students with the many aspects of information delivery as they apply to the requirements of a radio format. Through the application of knowledge gained in the classroom and practical work assignments complemented by individual evaluation, the basic skills of news reporting, newscasting and sports reporting are also learned.
