Course Description
The purpose of this course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills required to conduct a health history and physical examination. The aim of this course is to provide nursing students with an opportunity to develop a comprehensive knowledge base and an organized, systematic format for assessment of health. While the focus of the course is on the assessment of the healthy adult, pediatric and geriatric variations and transcultural considerations will be highlighted. Normal findings plus common health alterations will be explored.
