Course Description
The purpose of this course is to introduce the principles of pharmacology and their application to nursing practice. Students will gain requisite knowledge to support their interactions with patients. Emphasis will be placed on the fit between the professional responsibilities of the nurse and pharmacotherapeutics. Students will be expected to draw from knowledge and experience gained in previous nursing and non-nursing courses, as well previous and current clinical practice. The course will have both on-line and in-class components. Students are encouraged to be active in their own learning.
