Course Description
Young Families Health explores the promotion of health of childbearing families. The focus in on the family as a unit and includes the childbearing experience and the healthy development of young children. The purpose of this course is to increase awareness of health promotion with families during the childbearing years, and to understand the meaning of health from their perspective. The theoretical bases for assessment, intervention and support of families during the childbearing years will be emphasized.
