This is an introductory course in statistics for nursing students. Emphasis is on the application of statistics methods in health sciences. Topics include descriptive statistics, probability and probability distributions, estimation and hypothesis testing, correlation and regression, chi-square tests and analysis of variance. This course is a prerequisite for the nursing research course.
