Practical Nursing Theory 1

Course Description

This introductory theoretical course is designed to assist the student in understanding the concepts of wellness, the nursing process, Roy's Adaptation Model, caring, and interpersonal relations. The role of the practical nurse will be explored in relation to health promotion and illness prevention, and the maintenance of health in the individual, family, and community. Additionally, introductory experiential concepts including pain, stress, and illness will be explored.
