Course Description
This course is designed to provide the Practical Nursing student with the requisite knowledge and skills required to perform client health assessment across the lifespan. Encompassing a holistic approach, the emphasis will be on normal findings and the content will focus on interviewing, history taking, pain, physical and psychosocial assessment. The following systems will be examined: integumentary, head and neck, respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, genito-urinary, musculoskeletal, and neurological within the context of the well elderly, well child, family, community, and child-bearing female.
