Course Description
Using hospital pharmacy software the student will enter patients, physicians, drug orders, build the drug database, create patient medication profiles and manage admissions and discharges. Students will select, enter and fill drug orders from hospital patient orders generated by the computer software. Students will also repackage drugs in unit dose packaging and practice hospital narcotic control procedures. Emergency drug boxes will be maintained.
