Course Description
Streaming media looks at how online and interactive media can be used to benefit post-production students. We explore the ways that online media can be used as a promotional and distribution tool, looking at successes and potential opportunities. Students get hand-on training in the tools of online media (with an emphasis on HTML and Flash) with a focus on the issues that are specific to online video. The variety of media players and compression techniques are compared. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to create within the online environment, and have an online reel for distribution.
