Building on the knowledge, skills, and behaviours acquired in THER 151, this intermediate Occupational Therapist Assistant and Physiotherapist Assistant (OTA and PTA) case-based, independent investigative and presentation course expands the student's evidence-based research, clinical reasoning, project development, ad presentation skills for neurological conditions (mental health incorporated as appropriate). This course complements THER 200, THER 230, and THER 240 providing a holistic overview of chronic and disabling conditions related to neurological impairment within the ICF framework. Students continue to develop their inter- professional collaboration, teamwork, accountability, and ethical standards in preparation for their intermediate neurology fieldwork placement (or reasonably associated) and clinical experiences.
