This course prepares the students for their Long Term Care and Community practicums - PSW.166 - PSW Practice 2. Students will also have the opportunity to practice and demonstrate skills from the theory classes PSW.151, PSW.152, and PSW.150 in a controlled supervised lab environment. Skills include infection control, bed making, hygiene care, activities of daily living, toileting, catheter and condom care, ostomy care, specimen collection, mobility, communication, vital signs, skin and wound care, feeding and documentation.
