PTA Therapeutic Skills: Neurological Conditions

This course includes the theories and the applications of therapeutic interventions employed in the physiotherapy-related rehabilitation of patients or clients who have motor and or or sensory impairments resulting from a neurological disorder. Students will understand and learn a variety of Physiotherapist Assistant intervention strategies to promote functional independence and active living. Classroom and lab or practical learning experiences complement each other to ensure transformation and integration of information into various clinical situations during their intermediate fieldwork placement.
