Academic Year

2016-2017

In this practical writing course, the fourth in a series of five dedicated, foundational writing labs, you will develop and apply new writing skills to increasingly complex public relations materials to deliver goal-oriented messages to a variety of audiences. A number of in-class practice sessions will enhance the learning experience to develop: a news release based on a survey, advertorials, summaries and a tribute speech. Additionally, there is a special opportunity in the course curriculum to compete for a prestigious $1,000 Cohn & Wolfe Chairman's award for a pair of matte feature stories for a Canadian consumer product/service.
