This course introduces and refines the statistical methods used in many types of financial analysis and which will be used in further courses. The two building blocks of the time value of money, and various statistics and probability theory are used to build the foundation that applies to various concepts in practice. Topics also covered are hypothesis testing, sample selection and confidence intervals. Technical analysis is discussed.
