This course introduces the Canadian legal system, the process of establishing liability for negligence, some of the legal defences against negligence, and strategies for managing risks. Emphasis is on contracts, permits, and safety and security. Identifying and creating and risk analysis for an event is a key outcome and how to
control and/or manage risks associated with the execution of special events.
