Students gain a thorough understanding of the strategic communication planning process by studying key planning concepts and putting planning techniques into action. Students learn about each step of the planning process, from identifying a public relations opportunity or problem through to developing objectives, strategies and tactics, and evaluation methods. Students practise using the planning concepts and techniques through: discussion and exercises about each planning component, analysis of case studies, and developing plan components based on case simulations.
