This course will provide an introduction to tourism marketing and the key aspects of evaluating and selling tours. Using a variety of vacation scenarios and tour operator programs, the student will learn industry terminology, distribution channels, and the manner in which tours are promoted. with various client markets. Students will be able to match product offerings.
This course also introduces students to the legislation that governs the travel industry in Ontario. Students will examine and evaluate various offerings of travel insurance available to provide coverage appropriate to clients' needs and as required by law.
