This course will help students become partners with their clients. It will give them the tools to better appreciate the client's business and the problems they face. Tools will include directed questioning, a framework for analyzing data, how to do online research, Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) analysis. In the field of advertising account management, success is effectively selling your creative ideas. To this end, this course will examine well-researched and proven selling techniques and real-world selling examples. It will also include an examination of the four styles of communication and provide opportunities for the students to develop and present a customer strategy. This course is designed to help students acquire the skills to speak one on one or to a small group with confidence. The ability to confidently present ideas is crucial to communicating key messages and ideas to diverse audiences. Students will learn the appropriate structure of a presentation and how to give and accept constructive criticism through the evaluation of professional and peer presentations.
