Vector drawing tools allow for the creation of resolution-independent graphics, which are ideal for website planning and certain graphical elements. Using a hands-on approach, students will receive training on user interface design for the web. Initially, students will become familiar with the tools and techniques used within various vector-drawing software suites. This will be followed by creating prototypes for responsive web sites, whose layouts adjust for smartphones, tablets, desktop computers and other modern browsing devices. In addition to the practical aspects of designing user interfaces, students will be exposed to the theory of user experience design and usability to help them create websites more effectively while following industry best-practices.
