This course is designed to provide students with the basic skills required for a sales position in the wholesale segment of the fashion industry. The student will understand the skills required to be successful in this field, including the sales process, prospecting, sales presentations, negotiations, as well as networking skills and time management. Emphasis will be placed on developing confidence, professionalism, presentation skills and enhancing the student's communications, listening and perceptive abilities in interacting with a broad range of customers, prospective customers, suppliers and other parties in the business setting. Students will be participating in presentations and role playing in order to develop these skills within the classroom. As a result, students will gain the presentation tools required for any future fashion or business courses.
