This course expands on the core skills introduced in Writing in the Digital Age: Foundations by delving into more specialized forms of social media. The course provides an overview of interactive technologies such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, as well as niche platforms like Pinterest, YouTube, Reddit, and others. Students learn to write for a variety of screen sizes including smartphones and tablets. Students study best practices of effective social media campaigns, including ways to integrate social media with overall communications plans, and how to use metrics and measurements to evaluate online success.
