Writing for the Web

Digital journalism requires well-written, accurate, compelling and unique accounts of the stories of the day. This course, which builds on the skills developed in Foundations of News Gathering will require students to write and workshop their won news stories, strengthening their reporting and writing skills as well as their analytical skills. In addition to writing and reporting, students will also spend time discussing the role of accuracy, balance and fairness, and logic in their work, editing the work of others, and conducting a close reading of news articles.
