This course is centered on the theoretical and practical application of the bona fide physical and occupational requirements of a police officer. Students will be learning appropriate fitness skills and techniques to increase and/or maintain an overall physical fitness level that will allow the student to work towards attempting, and ideally achieving, the standards of policing fitness. Students will be learning about the importance of health and wellness in policing, as well how to manage stress and prepare for shiftwork. Students will be setting short-term and long-term goals relating to fitness and wellness and learning effective time-management skills.
