After six years in retail store management, hiring and training employees, Natanya developed a passion for the human resources (HR) aspect of the business.
“I enjoyed recruiting and developing people,” she says. “I started to look for HR programs, and I chose Humber Resources Management degree program because it seemed more practical, where other schools’ programs were more theoretical.”
She interned in Humber’s HR department after her third year of classes.
“I’m working on faculty and employee relations, recruitment and selection, and payroll and compensation,” she says. “It’s invaluable experience for when I start my career.”
