Workshop 1: Makeup Fundamentals: It all begins with the basics (Thursday October 19)

In this hands-on workshop, you will learn and experience the basics of skin structure, skin care and makeup subject preparation.

Some of the topics also discussed include:

  • Correctly analyzing bone structure and face shapes
  • Selecting makeup products based on proper analysis of skin tone and undertones
  • Knowing and demonstrating the sequence of basic makeup application
  • Understanding the purpose, selection and application of foundation, correction, concealer and powder for different ethnic groups, ages, skin tones and skin types
  • Correcting various facial shapes with contouring, shading and highlighting
  • Discussing makeup for mature women

Workshop 2: Skin care fundamentals: Exfoliate, Nourish & Protect (Wednesday November 22)

Some of the topics also discussed include:

  • Learning about skin types
  • How often to exfoliate
  • What is the purpose of exfoliating?
  • Is it safe to use a brush?
  • Choosing the best cleansers by skin type
  • What helps give you beautiful radiant skin?
  • What are the benefits of using skin care products?
  • Protecting your skin with SPF
  • Choosing the correct skin care creams and lotions for face and eyes
  • When do you use a toner?
  • How often should you treat your skin?

Whether you are a beginner, or need a touch up on your technique, this workshop is for you.

Grab your makeup bag and your favourite brushes, and bring a friend to spend a night learning about makeup!

What to bring in your make up kit:
Items to bring include: Complexion (liquid/cream foundation + powder), contour + highlight (creams or powders), neutral eyeshadows; light, medium dark, mascara, brow products (pencil or gel), red lipstick, red lip liner, black eye liner (liquid or gel).


Available online only and at the Orangeville campus during regular business hours.
Payments can be made using Visa, MasterCard or Interac® Online.
On-site registration at the workshop is not available.
Open to all ages, but if you are under 18, permission from a parent/guardian is required.

Refund Policy

Withdrawal from a workshop must be received in writing at least five (5) business days prior to the start of the workshop. A 10% administration fee will be applied. No refunds within five (5) business days to the start of a workshop.
Workshops not meeting minimum enrollment requirements will be cancelled and a full refund and notice will be sent to all registered participants.
