Red Hat Enterprise LINUX

This course focuses on the theory and practical aspects of the latest version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating system software at an advanced level involving multiple systems. It begins with an introduction to shell scripting and continues with building scripting skills by writing and analyzing example scripts.

The course discusses advanced Linux administration topics including network interface bonding and teaming, IP version 6, static routes, Network Time Protocol (NTP), Firewalld, Kerberos authentication, kernel tuning, system usage reporting, block storage sharing with iSCSI, file sharing with Network File System (NFS) and Samba, website hosting with Apache, sending and receiving mail with Postfix, Domain Name System (DNS) server and client, and Maria database management.

The entire course is filled with instructor presentations, demonstrations, quizzes, and on-the-job tips. Throughout the course, the students perform hands-on tasks on their own pair of virtual machines to gain practical administration experience involving networked systems.

This course covers the objectives for the Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) exam as published on www.redhat.com.
 

Course Prerequisites: Successful completion of MSI-103, the Red Hat System Administration course, or have taken and passed the RHCSA exam- RHCSER

Refund Policy

Withdrawal from a course must be received in writing at least five (5) business days prior to the start of the course. A $50.00 administration fee will be applied.
No refunds within five (5) business days to the start of a course.
Courses not meeting minimum enrollment requirements will be cancelled and a full refund and notice will be sent to all registered participants.
