Social Media & Blogging for Small Business

Look into the fast-paced world of the internet and learn how having a website and social media presence can help your start-up or growing business reach its goals.

Through a hands-on-approach, attendees will work on learning how to build their own business websites or manage their existing content.

We will also look at internet history, technical writing strategies, and ethical responsibilities that are essential for internet writing.

Weekly lessons include hands-on experience with social media channels and website creation.

Topics discussed include:

  • Website options for your business (Weebly / Wix / Wordpress etc.)
  • Social Media Basics
  • Social Media Platform Review (Facebook, Twitter, Google My Business, Instagram)
  • How / what / when / where to post on social media
  • Branding your business on social media

Whether you are new to social media, or need a ‘touch up’ on it – this workshop is for you.

It is being presented by Sarah Clarke, Social Media and Brand Consultant and owner of Dufferin Media.  Sarah has worked in online marketing since 2003 and has helped many businesses grow and succeed through the powerful tools of Social Media.
