About us

The Office of Advancement raises financial resources to help advance the priorities of Humber’s Strategic Plan to ensure an innovative learning environment for Humber students. With the support of our individual, corporate and charitable foundation friends we help to ensure that Humber students have the resources they need as they pursue their academic and career goals.

The Advancement Office provides meaningful philanthropic opportunities for members of the community, interested in furthering their relationship with Humber College. In addition to a variety of capital expansion projects that are currently underway at Humber, the Advancement Office provides the opportunity for potential donors to support students in need of financial assistance through the creation of annual awards or endowed scholarships.

In terms of all of the activity that takes place at Humber, expressed in full-time equivalents, Humber is now the largest college in the province. And while the issue is not fundamentally about size, but about quality, by any yardstick Humber is a successful leading national, and indeed, international institution.

Humber has by far the largest student applicant demand of any college in Ontario and has held this distinction for more than ten years. This year we lead all of the other GTA colleges in our Student Satisfaction rate, which saw a significant rise last year, in our graduate satisfaction rate, and in the percentage of our graduates that are employed in their field within six months. For Humber, this stands at 93%.

I can’t tell you how many times I have been asked over the last year if I am enjoying the role of President of Humber, and I always reply “Great College, great students, great staff – what’s not to like?”
