Humber Centre for Trades & Technology

With the help of the Ontario government, Humber College is undergoing an expansion that will allow the College to expand its current mandate to train students in the high-demand skilled construction trades. Humber has purchased and will renovate a building near its North Campus, thanks to the help of a $7 million investment from the province. This building will house what is to be known as the new Humber Centre for Trades & Technology.
The new Centre is expected to be completed by fall 2009, adding an additional 95,000 square feet of space to the College. With this expansion, Humber will be able to welcome 1,395 new students. By purchasing and renovating an existing building, Humber will be able to increase existing facilities four fold for the same price as it would cost to construct a new building. The central location will also provide students in the new Centre with easy access to all existing services located at the nearby North Campus. For more information on the Humber Centre for Trades & Technology or to support Humber students by making a donation to the Ontario Trust for Student Support, a program which provides matching funds to all donations made towards student scholarships within the School of Applied Technology, please contact the Humber Advancement Office at 416-675-6622 ext. 5480 or giving@humber.ca
