The Canadian Centre of Culinary Arts and Science

In September 2007, the Canadian Centre of Culinary Arts and Science (CCCAS) was established, with a vision to become the destination of choice for both potential culinary students and industry employers recruiting trained graduates. In order to fully embrace and move toward achieving the vision of the CCCAS and respond to the workforce needs of the Hospitality industry, an expansion of teaching labs including the introduction of new learning technologies was undertaken. This was accomplished by consolidating the existing culinary facilities into a centrally located, high traffic and highly visible area - the ideal opportunity to establish a physical identity for the Centre of Excellence.

Key features of the CCCAS include 48 student workstations with induction cooking technology, individual refrigeration units powered by a central compressor, an award-winning energy efficient vent master ceiling system, a 48-seat wine-tasting lecture and high definition remote control cameras and screens. The CCCAS is the only training facility in North America with induction cooking technology and compression-operated refrigeration.

The Canadian Centre of Culinary Arts and Science officially opened its doors in November 2008.
