There has never been a better time to support Humber students. Through the Ontario Trust for Student Support (OTSS) program, the Ontario government will match dollar for dollar all private contributions to Humber directed toward endowed student scholarship funds.
An endowed scholarship means that your gift and the government matching funds are invested forever to generate annual interest income to fund the annual scholarship. In effect, this type of support keeps on giving and can be a tremendous legacy for helping students for years to follow.
These scholarships also help inspire students to persevere toward their educational goals while reducing financial obstacles they face along the way.
Donations can be added to an existing endowed scholarship in a particular area of interest or included in the general endowment fund. A named endowed scholarship can also be established with a gift of $10,000 or greater – either as an outright gift or pledged over a 3 to 5 year period. This is a great way to honour someone special and establish a legacy of philanthropy for Humber students for years to follow. Named scholarships may be further customized according to the following options:
•
Scholarships may be designated unrestricted or tailored to a specific School or Program
•
Scholarships may include an academic performance requirement;
•
Scholarships may include other criteria to best complement donor interests.
