Welcome

The Humber College Health Centres provide quality health care and education in a friendly and professional manner. Health Care is available to all fulltime students of Humber Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning, and University of Guelph-Humber.

Orangeville Campus: At present, there is no Health Centre at Orangeville Campus. Students are able to receive health care from the North Campus Health Centre if they are willing to travel there. Otherwise, they can access community resources: their own family doctors, Walk-In Clinics, or in case of a medical emergency, the local hospital emergency room.

The provision of health promotion and immunization shots including the flu shot will be by Humber staff directly or through a cooperative arrangement with the Wellington, Dufferin and Guelph Health Unit.

Health Centre

About Us

Our Health Centre team includes administrative staff, nurses, a registered practical nurse, a nurse practitioner and physicians.

Although students are our primary focus, health care is available for faculty and staff on an emergency basis.

Meet our staff

The nurse practitioner and physicians may be seen by appointment. A limited number of walk-in appointments are usually available as well.

You will be asked to show your Student Card and your valid Ontario or provincial Health Card on each visit to the Health Centre. All provincial health cards except for Quebec are accepted. Quebec students are still able to see a physician but will be asked to pay for medical services up front. You will need to submit your receipt of payment to the Quebec government to get reimbursed.

To find out how to apply for or renew your health card, visit www.gov.on.ca/health. International students need to bring their valid UHIP card. To find out where to get your UHIP card, visit International student Services.
