North: Display Your Pride Reception
In recognition and celebration of Pride Month, the LGBTQ+ Resource Centre invites you to decorate your office or student space in the spirit of Pride! Humber will be joining our friends at Ryerson, YorkU, U of T and OCAD in this initiative to increase visibility for LGBTQ+ communities and join in the wider conversation which asks: What will you add to PRIDE?
Display Your Pride is open to everyone and no display is too small! You can put up a flag at your desk, decorate your door, or have your department come together and show everyone your Pride! For inspiration and ideas you can check out #DisplayYourPride on Twitter to see what other schools have done in the past. If you have a competitive spirit, consider entering our contest by emailing a photo of your space to LGBTQ@humber.ca by Wednesday, June 21st.
The #DisplayYourPride initiative is open from June 1st-June 22nd, and on the final day, we will host a reception at North and Lake for everyone to connect, share photos of your spaces, enjoy rainbow treats - and we'll announce our winners. Please save the date.
