i-TESOL

TESOL

i-TESOL is an intensive certificate program for interational students seeking Canadian teaching credentials.  It consists of 4 courses plus an optional Practicum component and provides a certificate in the field of teaching English as a second / foreign language to adults.  The certificate can be earned in just 4 weeks.  The program can be customized for groups of both novice and experienced EFL / ESOL teachers and is aimed at the EFL context.  i-TESOL particpants observe and have the opportuntity to do supervised practice teaching in adult ESOL classes, including ESL, immersion ESL and EAP. Qualified graduates of the i-TESOL program may apply for TESL Canada certification at Standard I.  Graduates of this program are not eligible for TESL Ontario certification.

International students applying for the intensive i-TESOL program

  •  Must hold a university degree (Canadian degree equivalency required for students seeking TESL Canada Certification)
  • Must also demonstrate proficiency in the English language, and have a TOEFL score of at least 80 (iBT) with no score below 20, or equivalent
