Science and Technology

If you are interested in a career in the health sciences, but you need background knowledge  in science and mathematics, the Science and Technology Program is a great choice.  Students in the Science and Technology program improve their reading, writing, critical thinking, and math skills as well as taking foundational courses in biology, chemistry and anatomy and physiology.

Students who complete a certificate in Science and Technology are eligible to apply for the UNB/Humber Bachelor of Nursing, the Humber RPN, Pharmacy Technician and Paramedic programs, as well as health sciences programs at other colleges. Your academic advisor will help you to identify the right opportunities for further study in the health sciences field.

 

Transfer Opportunities

Students who successfully complete all 12 courses in the GAS Science and Technology profile may be eligible for transfer credits. Possible transfer credits include

Humber diplomas: COMM or LANG courses, GNED courses

UNB/Humber BN: students with grades of 75% and above will receive transfer credits for COMM 410 and one GNED course

Admissions Testing

Students write admissions tests in writing and mathematics. Students must be able to write at a college level in order to be admitted to this program.
