Designing Accessible Documents and Presentations (Part Two)
Deepening Your Understanding
In 2010, the Association of Registered Graphic Designers of Ontario (RGD Ontario) partnered with the Government of Ontario on an EnAbling Change partnership program grant to raise awareness in the professional graphic design community. Accessiblity: A Practical Handbook on Accessible Graphic Design offers practical guides and design solutions for designers, helping them meet the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). In 2015, the RGD replaced the Design History component on the online RGD certification exam with a section on the principals of accessibility as applied to printed messages, websites and physical environments (RGD, 2015).
