For those enthusiasts who would like to become certified motorcycle instructors and share their expertise and enthusiasm.

We are also looking for people to teach scooter riding programs.

Is this course for me?
To become an Instructor, you must be an active motorcyclist with an M licence, no more than 5 demerit points on your licence and have a very positive attitude and patient demeanor.

What will I learn?
A variety of teaching techniques designed to deliver a consistent curriculum in logical and learner-focused manner. Effective and relevant coaching skills that will be used to support individual lessons.

What do I get at the end of the course?
Graduates will receive a Canada Safety Council Instructor certification and possible offer of employment with Humber or other sponsoring agencies.

How long is the course?
Generally runs 8 sessions, 2 nights / week plus supporting activities including attendance at a full "Basic" weekend. The training concludes with 2 full “shadow” weekends early in the training season in conjunction with other certified Instructors and actual paying motorcycle students.

The course is currently run
From the Humber Transportation Training Centre, at 55 Woodbine Downs Blvd, just north of Finch off highway 27. Woodbine Downs parallels highway 27 and can be accessed from either Finch Ave or Carrier Dr. Parking lot work is done at the Humber College North Campus.

How do I register?

Thank you for your interest in becoming an Instructor. We will not be running Instructor Training in the Spring of 2011. Please watch this page in the Summer of 2011 for possible updates for the Fall of 2011 and 2012.
