All signs on campus conform to provincial standards and assume the same force of law as those on provincial roadways. Signs are the primary indicators for drivers and attention to regulatory signal is mandatory.

Parking Regulations and Municipal Bylaws apply to all motor vehicles. Vehicles in violation of Parking Regulations or Municipal Bylaws will be subject to a Parking Infraction Notice. This notice is a Municipal Parking Ticket issued under the authority of the Metropolitan Toronto Police Parking Enforcement Contract Services.

All individuals who wish to park a vehicle are liable to pay parking fees, whether the parking is provided at a meter, in a pay space or in the Prepaid Permit lots. A valid permit (prepaid or daily) is required for parking in a lot between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Mondays to Fridays and signal to that effect is posted at each lot entrance.

The Customer Service & Registration Centers at North Campus (Room D133) and Lake shore Campus (Room A118) are the only authorized selling agents for Parking Lot permits and gatecards. Detailed information about the vehicle(s) that will be utilizing the Permit will be required at the time of purchase.

Each parking pass is issued for the use of the registered owner only and may not be transferred, resold, or loaned to another person for any reason at anytime.

The purchase of a Parking Permit constitutes an agreement, on the part of the registered individual(s) to abide by the Parking Regulations as enforced by Humber College.

A valid Permit, the visible token of the parking purchase agreement, is the only acceptable proof that the vehicle has a right to be in a campus parking lot.

Failure to properly mount the permit is deemed to be a violation of the Parking Regulations leaving the vehicle subject to a Parking Infraction Notice.

Replacement of a missing permit will require the payment of an additional fee equivalent to the current permit value.

Entrance, to some lots at the North Campus and all lots at the Lakeshore Campus, is controlled by electronic gates. An access card is required to allow passage. Each gate system operates independently and is programmed to accept only specific cards. This gate card alone does not confer parking privileges. Any vehicle in the card access lots that does not display a valid permit will be subject to a Parking Infraction Notice.

Replacement of a missing gatecard will require the payment of a $10.00 fee.

All permits and gatecards remain the property of Humber College and must be surrendered upon request. They are issued for the use of the registered owner only. It is not permissible to re-sell, loan, or transfer a permit and/or a gatecard to anyone else.

General lot permit holders are assured of a parking space but the permit is not a guarantee of a space in a particular lot. Permit holders should be prepared to park further from their destination on heavy traffic days or at the direction of a Parking Control Officer.

Permits for the General Lots at North Campus, Lakeshore Campus, and the Robert A. Gordon Learning Centre are deemed to be valid in the other Campus lots interchangeably.

Humber College reserves the right to cancel the parking privileges granted by the decal:

  • within five (5) days of a student leaving the College whether by withdrawal or graduation
