Samantha Conte’s 32 page essay on the psychological pressures of acute and post-traumatic stress earned her instructor's approval and two $2,500 scholarships.
The annual Tema Conter Memorial Trust Scholarship is offered to any student in an emergency services program in Canada, including police, fire and paramedic.
Conte received both the provincial and national award - a first for Humber.
