
Humber celebrated Orientation at its North and Lakeshore Campuses this week.
New students had the opportunity to learn about their programs and the campus, connect with faculty members, participate in social events and make new friends.
This year, sessions targeting specific groups and issues were implemented including: Aboriginal Student Orientation; All Things Online; First in the Family; Humber Life – How to be a Hawk!; International Student Orientation; Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered and Queer (LGBTQ) Orientation; Mature Student Orientation (25+); Money and More.
More than 250 upper year students from many programs volunteered to welcome new students and help them make the transition to college.
Parents and family members of Humber students also had an opportunity to attend special Orientation sessions tailored specifically to their needs and concerns.
In addition, Humber Students’ Federation (HSF) hosted social events including: live shows, barbecues and musical events.
