Course Description
What does the 21st century hold in store for Canadians? In order to understand the challenges confronting us now, and in the future, it is necessary to understand how we got to be where we are. By concentrating on the development of Canadian political, economic, social, and cultural institutions, this course will assist us in understanding the serious challenges confronting Canada today and tomorrow -- challenges that are serious enough to put the future existence of Canada in question. Students who have taken HIST 600 Canadian Studies: The Challenge Ahead cannot take this course.
