Effective presentation skills are essential in the public relations profession. The ability to confidently sell ideas in person or as part of a team is essential in communicating key messages and ideas to diverse and multiple stakeholders. Public relations professionals are required to prepare presentations on behalf of others in a number of public relations contexts. These include employee and executive communications as well as presentations to boards, clients, investment analysts, media, government and communities. In this course students develop critical listening and analytical skills by evaluating professional and peer presentations. Students learn to plan, deliver and evaluate the effectiveness of informative, motivating and marketing presentations.
