Students are introduced to the fundamental concepts and practices of hospitality and tourism sales. They examine the importance of personal selling in today s competitive tourism marketplace and develop a solid understanding of the sales concepts and techniques used to drive revenues to an organization. Using case studies, in-class exercises, and role plays students practise and develop their sales skills in preparation for a future career in sales. The course Sales Assignment is geared towards driving revenues to an organization affiliated with the School of Hospitality, Recreation and Tourism.
