Today's managers must have a sound understanding of the more traditional aspects of management and an appreciation of the impacts of rapid change on both individuals and the organizations in which they work. This course begins with a review of the role of the manager in carrying out the functions of planning, organizing, leading and controlling. It then provides an opportunity to develop an understanding of how the internal and external environments force change on individuals and organizations, as well as knowledge of the tools and techniques available to effectively plan and manage change.
