The Information for Faculty Section of this site has been moved to Humber College's First Class System. Faculty may access and download the Resource Guide for Faculty in pdf format in the conference. Continuing Education faculty or faculty without access to the First Class system should contact enquiry@humber.ca to receive a copy of the guide via email.
This Resource Guide is intended for use by faculty who may be assessing students' prior experiential learning gained through working, training on the job or non formal study.
Prior Learning Assessment
and Recognition (PLAR) is the "process of identifying, assessing
and recognizing what a person knows and is able to do for the purpose
of awarding academic credit" in a course or program.

The Guide has been developed in consultation with Humber faculty assessors. It includes downloadable PDF forms for faculty use.
