Our Program

Humber's Business – Accounting diploma program provides you with a solid grounding in accounting procedures and theory, taxation, law, information systems, and management. Students learn in our state-of-the-art Accounting Centre, using relevant computer technology and best practices, while developing hands-on skills with industry-standard software such as Access, Excel, Simply Accounting and Accpac Plus. Expert faculty provide students with a connection to industry and computer technology, and teach students key concepts in buying, selling, financing and investing.

All accounting students complete a common firstyear program before finally choosing either the two- or three-year program path. Courses such as cost accounting and business law lead to a final semester personal taxation course.

Second semester students who achieve a 70 per cent average in all courses may be eligible for the three-year advanced diploma, noted for its paid co-op work term at the end of semesters three, four and five.
