Your Career

Up to 20 per cent of the cost of constructing a new commercial building can go to heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment. The push for greater energy efficiency is creating exciting opportunities for professionals who bring knowledge of effective and appropriate handling of energy to the design, installation and operation of HVAC systems. Work in the commercial and industrial sectors, as well as in various levels of government departments. Potential employers include heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration manufacturers, consulting engineers, architects, process industries, wholesalers, distributors, mechanical contractors, building owners, chain stores, energy management firms, property management companies and school boards.

Our Program

Humber's program will provide you with a broad and intensive knowledge of the of energy systems for commercial and industrial complexes. Graduates are capable of applying engineering principles and conventions to achieve optimum energy efficiency through a process of evaluation, monitoring, DDC control, assessment and corrective action.

Fees

The 2009/2010 fee for two semesters was
- domestic $3,052.70
- international $11,730.

Additional Costs

$70 - TSSA, G.2 certificate of qualification (Technical Standards and Safety Authority); $25 - ASHRAE, student membership (American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, Air Conditioning Engineers) and $125 - RSES, associate membership (Refrigeration Service Engineers Society - Canada).
